Who Are Our Guardian Angels?
A Guardian Angel is a heavenly spirit assigned by God to watch over each of us during our lives. The doctrine of angels is part of the Catholic and other cultures’ religious traditions. The role of the guardian angel is both to guide us to good thoughts, works and words, and to preserve us from evil. Since the 17th century, the Catholic Church has celebrated a feast honoring the Guardian Angels, in October.
God has charged His angels with the ministry of watching and safe-guarding every one of His creatures. Heavenly “Kingdoms” have their angels assigned to them, and men have their angels, to whom religion designates the Holy Guardian Angels. Jesus said in a Gospel about children: “Beware lest ye scandalize any of these little ones, for their angels in heaven see the face of My Father.”

Assignments of the Angels
They have been sent from God to bring messages to certain people – Daniel 9: 20-23
Since Jesus Christ is called “The Word of God” – John 1: 1, there were times in the Old Testament when He appeared himself as “The Angel of the Lord” – Exodus 3: 2
Angels were also sent to assist certain people – Acts 12: 7-10
They were sent to protect certain people at particular times – Acts 12: 7-10
The were also sent to inflict punishment at other times – 1 Chronicles 21: 16
Angels were assigned to Nations – Daniel 12: 1
Some were assigned to Children – Matthew 18: 10
Angels will be assigned to Churches – Revelation 1: 20, 2: 8, 12, 18, 3: 1, 7, 14
Angels are seen throughout the book of Revelation executing God’s wrath – Rev. 15: 1
They will be used at the second coming of Jesus Christ to gather Israel back to their promised land – Matthew 14: 31
