Why I Blog

By peace | April 10, 2007

Blogging is like having a swing in my garden. Whenever I am free I go to my garden, sit on the swing to enjoy the sceneries. I sit on my swing to relax, and to ponder about my thoughts.

I have recently found a new site while searching for ‘make money on blogs’. It is PayPerPost.com. I started blogging since 2004. Blogging was very new to me then. My niece and nephew are all younger than me. They have blogs at Blogger. I heard of blogging too but do not know exactly what is blogging. I read their blogs and other people’s blogs.

I do not know why I sign up at Blogger one day, probably just to try it out. I think I signed up somewhere around August 2004 if I am not wrong. I did not know what to post about and I tested a post of my personality results then. Peace Starts With A Smile is the title of my first blog and I had a hard time thinking what domain name to give. In the end I tried peacefulblossom, I love peace and I love flowers. That is how I derive the name of my first blog – http://peacefulblossom.blogspot.com/

I was not active in blogging even after I posted my first test post. I have no knowledge of html, nor any computer language. Changing the template design and adding links were all so foreign to me. Ever since I stopped working, I have no income revenues. I am using the computer for leisure. One day, I read about Google Advertisement and making money by blogging. I wanted to earn money from blogging. I give it a try. So I signed up for Google Ads.

Blogging open up my life.  I meet many interesting people and I learn many things.  I have a few online diaries, one of them is http://peace-diary.blogspot.com/.  I have my diaries for me to share my problems and composed my thoughts and views.  When I am sad, I know that there are kind souls in this world.  They comfort me and they share with me their problems too — this, I know, I am not alone…

I learn as I blog. I change my blog design every now and then, but now I have what I like. From one blog, I have many blogs now. It is not only about earning money from blogs. It is all about personal interest as well. I love to write and composed. I love to collect pictures and paintings. In the past, people need to sign up for registration of domain names and then publish their own webpages. With the convenience of blogging, one can be website master in just minutes after online registration. Blogging serves many purposes. It can be a way of communicating with yourself, organizing your thoughts, your collection and at the same time showing it to the world around you. For lonely people, it can be a way of making more friends, enlarging your social circle. It can also act like a ‘forum’ where you post your views on your blog and people left comments on it. To me, all my blogs are my favourite collection of my interests, especially paintings and photographs of the world, where I have no chance to go.

Blogging is a good hobby. I am passionate about it. Since I love it and there are money-earning opportunities, I do not want to miss it. Recently I registered with PayPerPost. It has a blog too. Not many people know what a blog is actually. I went to the library on Sunday and the library is educating the people about blogging now. They want to promote blogging. I saw the poster on ‘What is a blog’. Blogging is so common nowadays, so much so that every member of the family each can have their own blogs. I even know of some old people who blogs. Blogging is just for anybody, whether the young or old, as long as you can type.
