I Love Credit Cards
By peace | May 1, 2007

Credit Cards allowed me to enjoy shopping without using cash. That is what I like most about Credit cards. With no credit cards, shopping is giving out cash, taking change and counting dollars and cents. It was no fun at all!
I love credit cards. Surprise? I am a sensible person. I never overcharge my cards in my life before. I had credit cards before but not now. After I had some problems with the credit card before, I cancelled it. After I had stopped work, I have no income and I cannot apply for anymore credit cards. Every now and then I still have telephone calls from some telemarketers who said that they are going to give me gold cards, but as soon as I told them that I am not working, they replied ‘thank you very much for your time’!
Getting a card is not free. Every year, there is annual card fee — for gold card or platinum card, it is more. For new cards, the first two years are free, and some even offer up to three years free. When used wrongly, we have to pay extras such as interests for late payments or interests for loans or cash advance. I had used credit cards to subscribe to some internet subscription many years back, when I was younger and more ignorant. Little did I know that after I had stopped the subscription, my credit card was constantly being charged. Despite calling up the credit cards, it was no use. They told me I need to pay them for what was being charged. I need to call up the subscription company to ask them to cancel the payment. The whole issue drag for a month or two, and I finally cancelled my first credit card for this reason. It was a nightmare. However, that does not mean I do not like credit card. I still like credit card, though I do not have one now. One lesson learn is, Do not charged internet subscription to credit cards anymore!
The reason why I like credit cards is because it is so convenient when shopping — I do not need to fork out any cash, just signed! I do not mind sending out payments to them later in the months. I have limits on how much to spend. I only used it as a convenience of paying instruments. I do not use any balance transfer facility nor advance cash payments. However, my husband is different. He charged, spent and take loans from credit cards. He is always searching for 0% balance transfer as such. However, so far, he had not found any such good deals! However, he does not give up his hope on 0% credit cards still!
