SLTopsites Woes

Yes, I know I am making my own generalisation. But what is all these if I am left with a pathetic guy having so many onlookers ‘attacking’ him? I would not have used money as a way to increase popularity. I am not an ambitious person. Everybody got their own reasons, their own ideal dreams and their ambition. I hate to stir all these. But I am just finding it very unfair to sltopsite owner, my husband. Everyday, he put in so much effort in his work. Whether a not he is doing the right thing, no one has given him any praise. Did you? If you have not, that is because you have focus all your thoughts on the bad points.
How do I manage to ’survive’ with him? Given his egoistic manner, his ‘everything is right’ kind of attitude, do you think that I can endure all these? What he is doing behind my back? Why am I working so hard? Don’t I only need to look after children and do housework, and go shopping to enjoy life? How I wish I can! Who do not wish to? But can I afford to? Can we afford to have this lifestyle? Our children are receiving free textbooks from the government. I need to apply for it. There is nothing which sitting there and everything will be given to you. There is nothing which sitting there and traffic will come to you. Sltopsites owner of course know it. Who enjoys searching for names, who enjoys searching for emails address, sending email message one by one, composing emails and telling you about the new website? What is his purpose? Is the website a porn website? Is it a gambling website? Is it a website asking you to sign up for membership and asking you for money? Please, go and see the website, sltopsites.com for yourself if anyone is not convince of what sltopsites is and how sltopsites is in any way an alien to any other directories such as those I mention. You can even click on any of my listed directories at the bottom of my page. You are free to click on anything you want. I am not getting paid for clicking on directories. I never ask anyone to vote for me in any of my post. I am not a saint. But I am just sharing my experience with you, reader who have come across me in the search engines or through other means.
Dolmere Talamasca has mentioned sltopsites button to be cute. If his words really mean from his heart, then it would be comforting perhaps to sltopsites owner. He has put in a lot of effort in designing. You need to add in the figures to the button. Everyday he spent hours and slept late. He spent more time with sl residents than with rl residents! That is our business, true. But I am just trying to clear those misunderstanding which ‘outsiders’ might not see what is behind the real screen.

Trolling through the worldofsl.com blogroll this morning, I come across Vint Falkien’s post about this website called SLTopsites.com. For the unfamiliar it looks like an easy way to direct traffic to your site, with some added incentives ($L prizes, etc)
Except not really. The website in question is running one of those scripts that “free” porn sites / warez sites use … the ones that pop up behind your browser when you’re at eBaumsworld or whatever, showing you the “top sites xxx hot sex pants”. It’s basically a self-feedback loop; all of the sites link to each other, boosting up their own stats. As far as I know there isn’t another Second Life Topsites.com (!!!11eleventy), but give it time. The site is only there for one purpose — to serve ads. So while you spend all the effort, this guy is making money off of your site, essentially.
They don’t really boost your traffic… so unless you’re willing to go to some sleazy lengths to get your banner to #1 (ie bribing), don’t bother.
With luck we can kill the site before it gets any traction.
Killing it or not does not concern me. But I just find it ridiculous and outraged at sltopsites. Google does not even permit porns. So putting google ads and porns does it sound logical? With a new website, and I am sure many businesses have more than one website online. Is it not logical to link to yourself, or you think it is logical to link to your website? With a new website of less than a month, just two weeks old at the moment, how much do you expect? If money is so easy to earn, why he is telling people to come, and not wait for people to come? He is giving out money to ask people to list there. Do you have google ads? Can you earn a lot from your google ads? Perhaps you do, that’s why you say so or perhaps you don’t know, that’s why you say such too. We do not know what is on the mind of other people. Even if he is my kin. But we can see. You cannot see what is behind. I can see. What you see is just the page, the result. The detail result you does not get to see.
Whatever you are going to say, your main aim is to ‘kill’ him. Who are you? I can make my own generalisation. You are part of the conspiracy. Who knows you are just another Dolmere Talamasca or Vint Falken. Or who knows Dolmere, Vint and Lordfly is the same person! Well, I do not like to say all these. But I really cannot stand one side and see anyone be accused of and repudiated. If he, sltopsites owner is really making money, I would be very happy. I would not have any anxieties and worries. I can enjoy my life. It would be very easy money indeed if this day were to come!
And how do you LordFly know that he is using what kind of script for what purpose? Are you very experience in making porn sites? If you have not tasted salt before how would you know what is saltiness?
This is the kind of world we are living in. A world where people attacking their own kind. A nation where there is no unity and people doubting against one another, over money or over jealousy or fame? What is world peace promotion? What is all the religion where people should be kind to one another, not lie and all those stuff! There is no peace indeed. My life is full of ups and downs. There won’t be any end to this kind of arguments. These people will come back to me. Do what you want. I just want sltopsites to be treated fairly. SLTopsites is giving out money which HE DID NOT EVEN EARNED. If Google Adsense is so fantastic, I can create more sites and just let anyone click on the ads! We are customers ourselves. Do you go round clicking ads for people? You click on whichever is of interest to you. Can anyone force you to click on anything?
Lesson to be learned from others?? Think of juicy news to promote traffic to your websites. Conspiracy perhaps. Kill your enemy and ultimately all enemy and may you be the top winner.
