Mooncakes
By peace | August 6, 2007

The long awaited mooncake is here again. My children love to eat mooncake. Whenever they see mooncakes, they will ask me to buy. Yesterday I saw Bee Cheng Hiang started selling mooncakes. The big ones are not having any sale. It costs $30 per box of 4 big pieces of lotus mooncakes. I am not going to waste money buying that. I bought this box of Chess Mooncake which costs $5.90. The usual price was $8.50. I bought two boxes.
Last night the children started eating. It has been always a question, why people just made mooncakes during mooncakes festival or Mid-autumn festival. Why can’t they make it any other ordinary day too. Then they can have extra profits for their business and customers can solve their cravings too. Customers like me and my children will be happy. We are the ones who would want to buy mooncake even if it is not Mooncake Festival.

He was asking if we can go downstairs on that day. The children love to eat mooncakes. After Mooncake Festivals, there will not be anymore mooncakes. They would need to wait for another year. So I will definitely grant their wish. […]

[…] Every year, the Lantern Festival seem more quiet than before. I remembered when I was a child, there used to be so many lanterns and goodies such as mooncakes and pomelos selling almost in every shop. However, nowadays, lesser of these are seen, though they are not ‘extinct’. […]
