Mother’s Love
By peace | September 21, 2007
Time flies. So many days never called my mother. She never called too. As I was going to bring Clara home from school, I called her. I was amazed to know that this year my father would be 70 years old. My elder brother was thinking of holding a small birthday celebration for him. I am supposed to get back to him, but have no time to call him yet.
My mother told me that her handphone could not make any phone calls because the phone bills were not paid. As it was a Starhub service provider, incoming phone call is free. So at least she can still receive phone calls. My mother’s handphone is under my elder brother. For more than 3 months he had not paid the phone bill for my mother. This was not the first time. My mother works for him at the factory too. But sometimes, she did not get any salary. Sometimes she get little salary. If she works for other people, she would definitely be happier and receive more pay. Working for families, people often take things for granted. My mother had worked in factories when she was younger. She was really happier and earning more money than now. She did not have to do as much work as now too. Her working time is irregular and is very long. That is what mother is all about. She is willing to do all these for her son.

After which, we have love outside the home, friendship, Boyfriend-girlfriend love, relationships, and so on. One thing lead to another, and all things are connected. This is part of the universal law as this world is round. What you sow, you will reap, given the right conditions and the right ingredients. To appreciate life, you need to know the values of it all. You need to learn to ’sacrifice’, learn to give and take. Practice endurance and forgiveness, empathy and compassion. […]
