Happy Halloween

By peace | October 28, 2007

For all the days I had spent with my parents, I had only known of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. I never know that there were any Halloween Day. It was only in the year 2000 that I know what is Halloween. The year 2000 or year 2K was a bad year. I hate this date, 31 October, not because it is Halloween, but because it was the birth of an evil woman, the satanic WOMAN.

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. It is seldom observed here but I have seen more cases in recent years. Last week, my children bought Halloween T-shirts. Yesterday, they bought some Halloween funstuff. They were excited about Halloween Costumes, magic tricks and all the others Halloween Decorations seen at NTUC Fairprice. They were particularly interested with the masks. They tried a few, but all not long to put on. They said they could not breathe, or they were ’smelly’. They loved the pumpkin candy basket and the pumpkin lights. However, we did not buy them as I thought it was a waste of money and we were not sure if the lights would be in good working condition.

After the children had bought some Halloween stuff, we went home. On the way, Ricsson asked,”What are we going to do on Halloween?” I told him we had no programs. The Halloween funstuff is for them to have some fun only. We do not celebrate Halloween. There is hardly any Halloween atmosphere here too. But we experience Halloween at Causeway Point Horizon Food Court. The windows are full of spider cobs. If you have dinner there on 31st October, you might have a Halloween Dinner there. Over here, I would like to wish everyone Happy Halloween, which is two days away. May you have a wonderful night.

I have compiled my pictures into video. Putting pictures into Photobuckets or Slides have no music. It is very boring. I rather put pictures in YouTube and coupled it with music. To watch the Halloween Pictures, click here for Kids Wanna Rock, by Bryan Adams.
