Particles Around Us

By peace | October 29, 2007

I remember very clearly my secondary school science teacher. His surname was Loo, and we called him Mr Loo. Many people made fun of his name as it has the same meaning and same spelling as the toilet, loo. During his year, the first chapter which he taught the class was the chapter on ‘Particles Around Us’. In that chapter, we learnt what is solution, suspension and colloid.

All of us need liquid, mainly water to survive. Our environment has various types of liquids which come in the form of solution, suspension or colloid. Most liquid around us are either solution or suspension. Colloids are very rare. I remembered Mr Loo brought the class to the laboratory. He shone light on white glue (the concentrated starch solution), but light was not able to pass through. Transparent solution allows the most amount of light particles to pass through.

In our daily environment in which we live in, the only colloids which I know of is jelly. I wonder that is really a colloid! I have not known of any colloidal silver or any other colloidal substances. At purestcolloids.com, I get to learn that there are colloidal silver for ingestion! Various colloidal products such as Mesosilver, MesoCopper, MesoPalladium and so on, all these are non-toxic. The website provide useful information which includes things like history of Silver and Gold. This is really interesting. I got to know that Silver can be used for healing and anti-bacterial purposes! If you have not heard of Colloidal Silver like me, visit purestcolloids.com to find out more.
