Shop N Save
By peace | November 14, 2007
This is the place where I go to buy my groceries. This place is called Shop N Save. It says it absorbs GST for some months. I normally like to buy my groceries at NTUC Fairprice. However, the nearest supermarket near my house is this one, Shop and Save. Though they say they have the freshest food, I hardly buy any vegetables or meat from them. Behind them is the wet market. The vegetables are much fresher.

The snacks I bought from them were not 100% fresh too. There were times where I bought cuttlefish and potato chips from them, only to discover later that they were ’stale’ — very soft and not crispy at all. Once bitten twice shy. I buy mostly household items and frozen food from them.
Recently, I noticed the trolleys were all gone. After a few days or perhaps a week or so when I walked past, I saw three trolleys there. Before that, there used to be long rows of trolleys. I wonder why the sudden reduction of trolleys.

What is a big supermarket without a shopping cart or trolley? I saw Cold Storage with many trolleys for customers to use. Customers can choose to use baskets or trolleys. Whether you are having a land-based shop or an internet store, the shopping cart, like the trolley for the supermarket, is necessary for customer to shop at ease. Any store, whether big or small, should have shopping carts. Whether customer uses the shopping carts or not, you still have to have shopping carts, if you want to maintain your professional image. Business is business. You want to attract customers, you have to maintain your professional image.
