Inspired For Christmas

The school holidays are coming to an end soon. Yesterday, the children were excited about taking the hot-air balloon. Luckily the weather was quite good and we took the MRT to Bugis. However, upon reaching there, the sky was grey and there was some rain. What we could do was to go shopping first.
Stomach Is More Important than Material Needs
It was very bored, to look at bags, shoes and other things. If you have money, shopping would be fun, if you have no money, shopping is no fun. It is a waste of my time. The only thing which is not boring is food. We went to the basement where there were lots of food. I bought some Japanese Chicken sticks (as seen from the picture above) and also Chicken Sausage from another stall. The food was nice, but as usual, the customer service sucks.
Poor Business Attitude
The first stall, this Japanese one, I wanted to buy a total of 8 sticks. But somehow, I only got four sticks. The second stall, the queue was very messy — No head, no tail. I stood there, waiting to be served. The guy asked me what I wanted. I had not finished and I was not sure if he had heard correctly, but he was gone in seconds. Next, another customer stood beside me, came later. The same guy talked to her. They talked and said he wanted to serve me first. But somehow, he gave her a packet of sausage. Then the guy repeated my order. After that, I wanted to buy two cups of lemonade from them. The lemonade cost S$1.50 with ice and S$1.80/S$2.00(cannot remember clearly) without ice. There were three cups of lemonade on display. When I mentioned two, a lady beside him handed the two cups of lemonade over. I checked the lemonade. The first cup still have some ice, the side of the cups was full of condensation, water droplets. The second cup, I could not even see ice, though if I shake the cup, you can hear some ice in it. They are obviously left there for some time. I told them I wanted new one. They told me, “They are JUST put up there.” I asked again, if I can have new one, I would buy two. They never answered me. I took the first cup and paid the money. That is the kind of attitude Singaporeans have. Singapore can have GOOD FOOD but you can HARDLY find good CUSTOMER SERVICE, EVERY FOOD places you go. I am going to tell you GOOD customer service if I am ever to find COME ACROSS any from now on.
After filling up the stomach, we walked around. It was crowded. I hate crowded places. The children hate it too. They wanted to leave the place as soon as possible, but the place is really nice. I used to go there to meet clients and to do surveys. The crowds are always there, anytime. When I get to go everytime, I do not have much feeling to it. But now that I seldom go there, this time when I go, I was filled with amazement with all the Christmas decorations. It was beautiful. There were spirit of Christmas with Soo Kee Jewellery musical show there. Many people took photographs, including me. I took a video of the trio performing violin musical instruments, but I could not upload at YouTube. The file is too big. But I put all the pictures together and made it into another videos with Gallen Lo song. The song should be Merry Christmas songs, but I prefer to listen to Gallen Lo song.

Enjoy What You See, No Need Possession To Be Happy
Seeing is another kind of enjoyment. You do not need to buy anything to be happy. If you feel thirsty, you would love to drink a cup of tasteless and odourless water. You would be glad to have a cup of coke, but if you do not have a cup of coke, a cup of fresh water would be better for you and it quenches your thirst even better than a cup of coke. Times are bad. People grow old and some people may be very rich yesterday, but today, they lost all their money in investments, unexpectedly or suffer misfortunes like disabilities (Just like Mr Francis, in the New Paper, who need to spend S$2000 monthly on medical expenses every month). On the internet, I had come across similar situation. Christmas is just a period of time where business people make use of such GOLDEN opportunity to make money. The church never encourage people to buy gifts and exchange gifts. We should not be influenced by such things. Why bring more misery to yourself? Why impress people with expensive gifts? If you have money which you cannot finish spending, then you can afford to have ‘commercial’ lifestyle. Otherwise, why bother?
Inspire And Enjoy
I read some blogs, people are unhappy that they have no money for Christmas. You should be happy that you are able to live with your love ones. You have no money, but you are still alive and in good health. If you have good health, hands and legs, you have no fear of no money. Have courage, you will have money. Since everybody is enjoying Christmas, put down all your unhappiness and enjoy yourself with your friends and families at your Christmas Parties or celebration. It is going to be a rare opportunity for families and friends to meet each other. Treasure this time, be inspired by the beauty of Love, be inspired by the magic of God’s creation and be inspired this Christmas. Once again, Merry Christmas to everybody.
