Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet Comes To Live Part II

Homework Taken Out From School Bag…

Yesterday Clara came back from school, took a dose of medicine and she had school homework to do. I asked her to do her homework, but as usual, she would dilly-dally. Next she played her building blocks instead. I let her play since she had not been playing that for a long time.

Good things hard to learn, bad habits quick to learn
It is so hard to teach children good things. Tell her to read more books and she never bothers. Tell her to tidy up her table and she hardly did. If I tidied up for her, the next day and the day after next, the whole table is messy again. I am not going to tidy up her desks forever. But she needs to learn her lesson…

Richard likes to eat Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak

Dinner Time - Eat Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak
Last night, Valerie was supposed to come tuition. So Richard and I had to go out to buy food early. We decided to leave the home at 6pm. However, in the end, he was late and we left home only at about 630pm. We went to buy Nasi Lemak at the stall, Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak at Causeway Point. It was such a long queue. Next, we bought Otar from another stall. Then we went home for dinner.

The Spooky Story Begin
As we were eating, Ricsson told me that they had a scary night last night. He said the white board had sound, the cupboard had sound and there were something dropped during the night. I was not sure what ’sound’ they were talking about. I had no time to ask too much, as I need to eat fast. I asked him what sort of ’sound’ they heard. He did not know how to describe. But he showed me. Paper flipping sound, white board ‘tapping sound’ and something or lots of things seem to drop sound. The windows were closed, the paper was far away from the air-conditioner. It was first-time like that. The white board tapping sound was intermittent. They went to sleep despite all these. But was further awoken by sound of things being dropped from behind them. They were frightened during the night, on the light and saw nothing was dropped.

Satan, Evil Spirits or The Prophet
Ricsson hardly showed signs of fear, except the time where the door slammed. And till now, he still remembered, remembered the day the door was mysteriously slammed. This afternoon, he was still telling me about it. We were still wondering what were the things that could possibly ‘dropped’. He still told me how the door was slammed and how he was not awared and how he was lying on the bed and he was so scared.

Children Filled With Fear
He was obviously scared, extremely scared this time. I told him again about my dreams and I told him again that they need to read the bible and pray before they sleep. I also told them that they need to have tidy room. I always tell them lots of things, but they hear but did not listen. Everytime I tidied up their room, it would be messy again. They are old enough to tidy their room now. Last night, while I was having tuition with Valerie, the children tidied up their room. This incident had ‘changed’ them. Clara finally took out her bible on Monday night. Ricsson finally took out his children bible last night. They told me they got pray before they slept last night.

Chinese Workbook ‘Lost’
Something strange also happened, which I do not know if this is in any way related. Clara’s Chinese Workbook was lost at home. The whole night, everybody searched the book but could not find any sight of the book. At midnight, we had to give up searching. I hope she would learn her lesson of putting things at the right place.

The Spooky Book, with Eerie look on the face…

Drive Away All Evil Spirits
As for me, my thoughts, what came to my mind as soon as I gathered all these facts. It came to my mind immediately, it is the book, The Prophet, Khalil Gibran, lying outside their room, on Richard’s desk. For two nights, after the book was taken out of the room, I had no weird or any scary dreams. I had GOOD sleep. But my children did not have good sleep. Last night, after Valerie went home, I asked Richard to sprinkle Holy Water at every corner of the house.

Evil Spirit or Good Spirit done for good course
I wanted to write about this just now. I brought the book to my room. Strange thing happened again. My computer was not functioning well. It was so hard to believe. I shut it down, thinking that my computer was too hot, which was not quite so, because I just hibernated it for more than 1.5 hours already. Anyway, I shut it down. After sometime, I on it again, and the same thing happened. I was not able to do anything with the computer.

Spooky, Enchanted, Haunted… Hard To Believe
I need to return the book as soon as possible. The Prophet CANNOT stay at home any longer. It is too spooky. I brought the book out of my room. I put it in the bag this time. I came back to my room, on the computer again and I was able to post the ’story’ that moment.

But just now, my browser seem to experience the same problem. I did not want to waste all my effort writing. I quickly saved what I had written.

I believed the existence of spirits. I believed God is HOLY and POWERFUL. I believed God grant our wish and he really help us(we also must help ourselves).

Is this incident something good or bad? Well, honestly I do not know. But the outcome seems good — not for terrifying the children, but for having the ‘real experience’, the children begin to take out the bible and they begin to pray. This is good sign. Is it God’s Plan again? Was my prayer heard? Seeing the children taking out the bible, reading it and hearing them about Praying to God, indeed it had.
