長江七號, CJ7 Review
Stephen Chow found the alien egg at the garbage and he brought the ‘toy’ home for his son, Dicky Chow. His son wanted a CJ1 which his father could not afford to buy for him. At first, he thought the ‘toy’ was nothing fun, but later, he realized that it was an alien, who can respond to its surrounding. It has magical power which can turn rotten apple into fresh, juicy and sweet apple.
Dicky was delighted and brought it to school. At the school, his friends discovered his new ‘toy’ and they fought over it. Later, Dicky showed them how clever the alien was. It could showed expression of joy, surprise, worries, sadness, anger and so on. That was the funny part too. The alien’s expression was very cute. The whole cinema was filled with laughter.
The movie not only consists of laughter but touching moment as well. Tears filled my eyes towards the end when the father was pronounced dead. Dicky went home with the companion of his teacher. He had scored over 60marks (65 to be exact) for his exam. He had told his father that he would be able to make it (at least 60 marks) for his exam. True enough, he did it, but his father was not able to see it. He cried his heart out.
In the meantime, the alien helped his father, Stephen Chow, in the hospital. It used its magical power to revive Ti (Stephen Chow), but in return, it lost its own life. Dicky was happy to see his father once again, but sad to lose the cute alien.
This is a nice show, entertaining and relaxing, suitable for children, rated PG. My children still discussed about this show the next day after watching. They enjoy watching and we would still like to watch it again.

Synopsis
From Stephen Chow, the director and star of ‘Kung Fu Hustle,’ comes ‘CJ7,’ a new comedy featuring Chow’s trademark slapstick antics. Ti (Stephen Chow) is a poor father who works all day, everyday at a construction site to make sure his son Dicky Chow (Xu Jian) can attend an elite private school. Despite his father’s good intentions to give his son the opportunities he never had, Dicky, with his dirty and tattered clothes and none of the ‘cool’ toys stands out from his schoolmates like a sore thumb.
Ti can’t afford to buy Dicky any expensive toys and goes to the best place he knows to get new stuff for Dicky – the junk yard! While out ’shopping’ for a new toy for his son, Ti finds a mysterious orb and brings it home for Dicky to play with. To his surprise and disbelief, the orb reveals itself to Dicky as a bizarre ‘pet’ with extraordinary powers. Armed with his CJ7 Dicky seizes this chance to overcome his poor background and shabby clothes and impress his fellow schoolmates for the first time in his life. But CJ7 has other ideas and when Dicky brings it to class… chaos ensues.
