Listening to nature
By peace | September 29, 2009
The above photograph shows Myself with Isaac (3 months old) in my arms. So that would explains for the absence of posts at my blogs. I am very busy attending to all the needs of my family, especially this newborn baby, Isaac.
A woman’s body is perhaps more attuned to nature than a man’s. One of the main reasons for this is that the effects of hormonal cycles are more prominent. It has frequently been noted that hormonal-based problems respond better to natural treatments than when tackled with strong medicines. For example, fertility treatments with medicines often fail while natural ones (herbs, relaxation, diet) are more successful.
Listen to your body. Your body are constantly sending out messages to you. For example, during my pregnancy, I cannot work at all. I felt nauseous and I had to lie down on the bed during the first trimester. I could not stand the smell of smoke throughout my pregnancy. I could not eat spicy food either. All these are the natural body’s response to protect the foetus.
Now, I am breastfeeding my baby. I need lots of water, and I often have a craving for porridge. This is just how amazing women are — the way we are so connected to nature: most natural phenomena are cyclical. The presence of cycles within our own body is a demonstration of how much we are a part of nature and open to being affected by cycles in the cosmos, the environment and the earth. For example, it is said that women living or working together long-term often have their periods more or less around the same time! This is partly due to a subconscious reaction to female pheromones, but it’s also feasible that receptors in the brain are sensitive to these natural cycles.
On 21 July 2007, I wrote about The Endless cycle of life and My First Grief. These are the very first questions of mine deep in my heart and my brain as a child. The existence of spirits and the mystery of death had always been a question mark to me. I asked my mother and told her that when I died next time, I would come back to tell her about it (what happen after I die). Then she laughed at me because if I am dead, I would not be able to come back to communicate with her.
Miracle! This is indeed a miracle in my life and an exciting turnover of my life. I had an encounter with God and Jesus. I discovered the beauty of life and the truth of human’s creation as written in the Holy Bible. God made Adam and then Eve. We are all made by God, and how amazing and wonderful the creation of God!
God’s Revelation: Miracle of My Life
Having an abortion before, for fear of pain and no money, things are different now that I had the strength of God. I have no money (living on loans), but I have strength from my saviour, Jesus. During my pregnancy, I did not use any medications, special cream or any natural health and beauty products for my tummy as well (for fear of stretch marks). I believe that we should follow the body’s natural mechanisms as that was what we are being made for. Listen to your body, as reflected at Sabon, learn and hear what your body is trying to ‘tell’ you.
