QiHua Garden

By peace | December 29, 2009

Beautiful QiHua Singapore Sculptures (consisting of Samui Woman, Satay Man, etc), with swing and newly added cable cars and ceramic birds in cages

It seems a long long time since I last stepped into QiHua Primary School — due to my pregnancy and childbirth. The most recent time I went to QiHua Primary School was about a week ago when Clara went to school to get her textbooks.

I was very impressed, and very inspired on that day when I had a rare chance to ‘roam’ about in the school, wondering and enjoying myself (with Isaac) walking in the beautiful garden of QiHua Primary School (while waiting for Clara to get her textbooks).

The above photograph shows a small welcome area just in front of the General Office. This is so nice. Visitors like me felt a ‘welcome’ feeling, so home-like, so comfortable, and I can get to sit down at convenient benches around the General Office when I need a seat (especially when I am carrying Isaac, and I need a rest when I am tired). At this artistic mini garden, you can observe fishes swimming in the water and look at the green plants growing in the water.

I did not sit on the swing, but rather enjoyed looking at what’s around me. Besides the new additions mentioned, there were many other great work done within the school compound too. There are new furniture, new computers, new paintings and so on. What an inspiring school!

Chinese Lantern Outside The General Office of QiHua Primary School

2010 is approaching and 2009 is coming to an end. QiHua Primary School not only has beautiful garden, it is filled with ‘Chinese Culture’ — with lanterns, Chinese Calligraphy, and various Chinese Paintings hanging around. It is so lovely. This picture above shows the beautiful lantern just hanging outside their General Office. It really caught my attention and I cannot help but admired them. How I wish I can have a closer look and a touch of it. Chinese New Year 2010 is approaching and people will be decorating their homes. Traditional Chinese Paper Lanterns can be purchased at Shopwiki at this link http://www.shopwiki.com/paper+lanterns?&page=6 (Picture on the left) that I had found.

The day when I was walking around admiring the garden of QiHua Primary School, I saw the gardeners/cleaners maintaining the garden. One of the cleaners even greeted me. I was so happy that I was welcomed. There were a few gardens in the school compound. The most beautiful garden (photographs can be seen here at this link http://www.peacebella.com/2007/06/15/qihua-primary-school/ ) is of course the main one which is just beside the National Education Museum or behind the General Office.

Water garden accents or garden decorations are present in the school as well. I love this little wooden bridge at this mini garden of the school. The plant that I love most is the Butterfly Pea which produced beautiful blue flowers. Enjoy these beautiful photographs of QiHua Primary School Garden below!
