New Letterbox

Photograph showing the old letterbox at the void deck of my flat
These are not Commercial Mailboxes but Residential Mailboxes (photograph above). Flat dwellers have this kind of letterbox or mailbox as shown above in Singapore. All the residents need to come downstairs to open their mailboxes.
One of the disadvantages of having mailboxes of this kind is that there are many junk mails in our letterbox. There are always full of flyers of any kind in the mailbox — for example, real estate flyers, tuition flyers, air-con repairs flyers and many more. Many times, especially during the evening, the floor around the mailbox would be littered with unwanted flyers on the floor, creating an unsightly scene for residents.

On the left of this wall here (referring to the photograph on the left) is our old letterbox. The wall used to hold a noticeboard for residents. But now, the noticeboard is being relocated and the wall is being used to hold new mail boxes for residents.
The final masterpiece is as shown below in the photograph.

This new mailbox shown above is definitely better than the old ones. There are no more junk mails, and littering is reduced. However, now my gate is crowded with junk mails instead!
