Happy New Year 2010
Today is New Year Eve. We shall be saying goodbye to year 2009 and welcome year 2010 soon. The Chinese Lunar New Year for year 2010 will fall on Valentine’s Day, which is 14 February 2010. For the Chinese, year 2009 is the year of the ox. Year 2010 is the year of the Tiger, and that’s why you see the Chinese New Year decoration above showing two little tigers with the ‘God of Fortune’ (with his greetings of 恭喜发财/Gong Xi Fa Cai) 恭喜发财 or Gong Xi Fa Cai is the traditional Chinese New Year greetings meaning Congratulations and best wishes for a prosperous New Year!
With the new year approaching, most people are filled with new wishes and hope for the new year. This is especially so for the Chinese who wish to strike lottery (strike 4D and Toto), win lots of money and to get more money in return. Dreaming of getting quick money like this is very common and every weekends Singapore Pools are crowded with people (buying ‘hope’, waiting eagerly for a chance to win big money).
Where do these people get their ‘numbers’ inspiration? We see numbers all around us. Any numbers that ‘gamblers’ get to see and associate with is their 4D and Toto inspiration! One of the obvious ones would be the house address or the unit numbers of the house. The house provides a shelter over the head and is of so much importance. Most new homeowners would invest huge sum of money on their house — renovation and decoration. For example, they would buy address numbers or address sign to paste on their doors. Some people, especially people living in landed property, can buy themselves home address plaques. In return, they hope to get back what they had invested by betting on their home numbers. On this day, I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Look at the address plaques and numbers around you. You may want to have some 4D prediction like some 4D lovers did, or perhaps the ‘God of Fortune’ really comes knocking at your door this season…. and you dream of 4 Digits!
