It’s been ten years! Ten years since we last sold our first home. We do not have much money then. I took up renovation loan so that I can use my savings to pay for the home furniture. We had designer to design our kitchen and master bedroom. The living room and dining room did not have any modern furniture but simple furniture only.
When buying furniture, I look for colours, styles and material. I love simple and practical furniture that is easy to maintain and can be lasting or durable. Two of the furniture which we had bought were still in use at our present house. They are entertainment centre or unit and dining table. Richard and I chose a black granite dining table. We are still using the dining table now. I love it so much. It can withstand heat, pressure and rough usage (especially with children around) — this was taken into consideration the first time I bought the table. I spent a total of $1500 on the dining table. The other furniture, the entertainment unit cost around $2500 (if I remember correctly) and it is still in good condition too. These two furniture are really my money well-spent!
