The Oasis
By peace | May 19, 2010
It was the ‘Oasis’ I see on 30 April 2010
What is oasis? My English is no good. According to the Dictionary, Oasis means a dwelling place, haven, harbor, retreat, shelter. A fertile or green spot in a desert or wasteland, made so by the presence of water. It can also refer to a situation or place preserved from surrounding unpleasantness; a refuge: an oasis of serenity amid chaos. Basically oasis is a small area in a desert that has a supply of water and is able to support vegetation. An oasis forms when groundwater lies close enough to the surface to form a spring or to be reached by wells.
This word just ‘arise’ out of my heart or brain at that time when I saw this scene in the sky (as seen in the photograph). I had learned this word before, but I was not so sure about this word again since it was so long ago and I hardly got a chance to use this word. I had checked the meaning of this word on that day…
If you read my blogs and followed me closely, I had mentioned that I do not like this number 7 at all. This is because of bad memories that was accompanied by it. However, on that day, that fateful day when I encounter God, it was God’s revelation that the number 7 was indeed a mysterious number and a lucky number… He also revealed that I am the Ark of Salvation… How can I not remember or forget this fact then? Even in my dreams, such ambiguities of numbers 3 and 7 appeared!
Went to Blk 347 Bukit Gombak for lunch. Such a nice block number. Such a good location with good human traffic. It is of great business potential if brought to good use…
Such a good name, The Oasis, this neighbourhood coffee shop has. Three which sound like Life in chinese, Four which sound like death, and 7 which sound like up or arise! However, it was really a bad experience today at this OASIS.
