Clara and I went to Raffles Institution Open House last month, on 22 May 2010. We took the MRT and alight at Bishan MRT Station. After that, we walked to the school. I asked for directions and later on, we reached at Gate 15, a sheltered linkway connecting the school and the bus stop. At this Gate, we thought that we could enter the school. But there were so many flights of stairs that we one need to climb in order to go up to the school from this gate. As I was pushing the pram, there is no way that we can enter the school from this gate.
We walked a big round and finally able to find the main entrance of the school (at Bishan Lane). Just beside the main entrance is a Chinese Temple known as Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Temple.
At about 1pm, Clara was hungry and we need to leave the place. I had not finished exploring the place. But I am contented to be able to have a visit to the school. This time round, we walked to another gate. It was Gate 3, and we realized that this is a shorter distance to the school (compared to the main entrance to the Admin Block).
On my way out of the school, I walked past this building. Some students were walking into the entrance. I was attracted by the special apartment mailboxes just outside the entrance of the building. With the Ixora plant in front of me and the building far behind, I thought this photograph was so nice — I love the Ixora and the cluster mailboxes.
The cluster mailboxes is something that I don’t get to see often. I zoom in to take a closer look at these commercial mailboxes. All these photographs are my collection and my memoirs… my footprints…
It was such a great day I had over here, though it was so tiring, extremely tiring…
