最後一夜 was sung in 蔡琴’s 1984 album “此情可待”. It was written by 慎芝, for the movie “金大班的最後一夜”, which was originally a story written by 白先勇 in 1968, it was later used as a stage act. In 1984, 慎芝 watched the production of “金大班的最後一夜”, and also in the same year, she received “The Golden Horse Award for Best Movie Music Single” for the creation of “最後一夜”. The movie and the song received instant fame.

蔡琴最後一夜

Tsai Chin (Chinese: 蔡琴; December 22, 1957 (age 52) Kaohsiung, Republic of China) is a pop and folk singer from Taiwan (her ancestral home is in Hubei). She sings in both Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Hokkien and is known for her naturally magnetic rich vocals and witty persona. Her well-known hits include Bei yiwang de shiguang (《被遺忘的時光》, The Forgotten Time), Qiashi ni de wenrou (《恰似你的温柔》, Just Like Your Tenderness), Zuihou yi ye (《最後一夜》, The Last Night), Du ni (《讀你》, Reading You), and Ni de yanshen (《你的眼神》, The Spirit of Your Eyes). The peak of her popularity in Taiwan was from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s but she remains popular in China. Spouse(s) – Edward Yang (1985–1995)
